As the owner of MindBody Digital, I’m all about helping alternative health and wellness professionals and their businesses craft unique online presences that match their unique vision and goals.

That being said, MindBody Digital’s approach is not be going to be the best fit for everyone!

In this blog post, I’ll cover three main reasons that working with MindBody Digital might not be your best bet. By the end, you’ll have a better idea if it’s the right match for your business.

Reason 1: You’re Looking for the Cheapest Option

An image of a dollar bill and some change.

When it comes to digital marketing and web design—just like anything else—it’s all about finding the sweet spot between cost and quality.

MindBody Digital is all about delivering high-quality services that bring real value to alternative health and wellness professionals. As a result, a lot of time, effort, and thoroughness goes into each project to make sure the final deliverables fit your needs, and this comes with a higher price.

If cutting costs is your main goal, then you probably should not work with MindBody Digital.

Alternatives

If your business is on a tight budget, checking out more affordable options might be the way to go, and there are plenty of less expensive options out there. More budget-friendly alternatives can get you up and going without a huge upfront cost, which can be great for new and small businesses with smaller budgets.

Keep in mind, though, that while these options can be useful, they might not offer the same depth, customization, and personal support you’d get from a more tailored approach.

Just make sure to weigh your options carefully, and you can make informed choices for your business that balance cost with your needs.

Reason 2: You Need a Website Done ASAP

Building a top-notch website and that effectively represents your business and brand takes time.

When you work with MindBody Digital, we go through very thorough and careful planning, design, development, and collaboration to make sure every part of your online presence is set for success. Rushing these steps can result in less-than-great outcomes that don’t reflect your business’s quality, unique messaging, or professionalism.

If you’re in a hurry to get your website live in a really short amount of time, my business’s thorough and detailed approach might not match your timeline.

Quick-fix options can seem tempting, but they can easily sacrifice quality and effectiveness. A hastily put-together website might lead to functionality issues, a poor user experience, and missed chances for optimization. It also might do a less-than-ideal job of communicating your business’s unique brand and messaging.

Alternatives

If you need a website up and running really quickly, templated solutions or quicker, simpler services might be the way to go. These options—available from various platforms and providers—can get you online fast.

DIY website builder platforms like Wix and Squarespace come with pre-designed templates and user-friendly tools, so you don’t need tons of technical know-how. But keep in mind, while these options are speedy, they might not offer the same customization or long-term benefits as a fully bespoke website.

It’s important to weigh this trade-off, especially if you’re looking to build a unique brand identity or need specific features that off-the-shelf solutions might not cover.

There are also agencies and freelancers that offer sprint services, where they can create and launch a project for you in a very short amount of time. Just be aware that these kinds of services will very likely cost you a pretty penny! Also, sprint services—by their very nature—will likely not provide a high degree of thoroughness and customization, if those are things that you value.

Reason 3: You Don’t Value a Collaborative Process

I believe that collaboration is key to crafting a quality online presence that perfectly fits your business, and MindBody Digital’s process hinges on collaboration.

My business aims for active client input and feedback at multiple checkpoints throughout any given project to ensure the final deliverables truly reflect your vision, your message, and meet your specific needs. This teamwork helps MindBody Digital deliver personalized and effective websites, branding, and copywriting.

If you’re the kind of person that prefers to take a backseat and let your service provider make all the decisions, MindBody Digital’s approach might not be the best fit for you.

Don’t get me wrong: MindBody Digital does most of the heavy lifting for you while working on a project, but regular client communication and feedback are essential throughout any project, and this might not suit some people’s preference for minimal involvement.

Also, if you just want to tell someone what you want without any input from them and have them crank out a project, then MindBody Digital is definitely not a good fit for you.

I find the best outcomes come from working closely with clients, but I understand that’s not everyone’s style.

Alternatives

If you’re not up for giving feedback at various project stages or just want a web designer who follows your orders, you’re in luck: there are plenty of options out there that fit the bill.

But watch out!

The downside of working with “order takers” or designers who don’t ask for your feedback before giving you a final deliverable is that the final results might not hit the mark—despite them following your instructions—leading to multiple revisions that can be time-consuming and make things harder and more frustrating for everyone involved.
